2015 TASH Conference has ended
This year’s theme, “Celebrating 40 Years of Progressive Leadership,” acknowledges TASH’s 40 years of generating change within the disability community and anticipates a brighter, more inclusive future for people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Each year, the TASH Conference impacts the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world.

Samuel Sennott, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at Portland State University (PSU). Dr. Sennott is the founder of the new Universal Design Lab at PSU, which is focused on innovative research, teaching, and community service. In summary, his research work focuses on serving individuals with disabilities through using Universal Design for Learning and assistive technologies. Dr. Sennott’s background includes a Master’s of Science in Assistive Technology and extensive clinical experience as an AT specialist and special educator in public and private school settings and adult service settings. Sennott also co-created the popular Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) app, the original Proloquo2Go for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. This AAC system has helped tens of thousands of individuals gain access to communication. This invaluable experience provided him with executive leadership, design, technology, and advocacy experience.
His new Universal Design Lab has obtained Federal, State, and Foundation funding for research and development.
