2015 TASH Conference has ended
This year’s theme, “Celebrating 40 Years of Progressive Leadership,” acknowledges TASH’s 40 years of generating change within the disability community and anticipates a brighter, more inclusive future for people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Each year, the TASH Conference impacts the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world.

Karen Lai works as an independent consultant to increase accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities. She holds a Masters of Arts in Human Kinetics where she examined the theories behind social inclusion of people with disabilities. She works with organizations, businesses, and government to adopt a culture of inclusion.To complement this, she has more than 20 years of working alongside with individuals with disabilities in the field of recreation, employment, government, and other community involvements. Karen is a strong self-advocate, living with cerebral palsy, where she believes that it is her responsibility to develop connections and relationships with one another to create a sense of comfort around disability and inclusion.
