2015 TASH Conference has ended
This year’s theme, “Celebrating 40 Years of Progressive Leadership,” acknowledges TASH’s 40 years of generating change within the disability community and anticipates a brighter, more inclusive future for people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Each year, the TASH Conference impacts the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world.

The enormous contributions TASH has made to the lives of people with complex disabilities, to their family members, and to the professionals who serve them are extensive and profound. There is no question the world would be a different place without the presence of TASH and its members. There is also much more to be done to accomplish the original goal of the founders:
“if we do our jobs, people with severe disabilities will live productive, safe, healthy, happy and integrated lives.”

This 40 year milestone is a serendipitous opportunity to examine how TASH might focus its efforts in order to achieve this original vision. As we gather at this Anniversary Conference, we invite TASH members to come together and talk about the “state of the art” today, chief challenges people with disabilities face, and the unique ways TASH can leverage its powerful collective expertise to advance the hopes and dreams of the people we support. These conversations will help the TASH Board of Directors and new Executive Director design a path for advancing change into the next decade. Please join us!
