2015 TASH Conference has ended
This year’s theme, “Celebrating 40 Years of Progressive Leadership,” acknowledges TASH’s 40 years of generating change within the disability community and anticipates a brighter, more inclusive future for people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Each year, the TASH Conference impacts the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world.

Inclusive Education Lessons Learned from a Large Urban School Distrtict LIMITED

This presentation will address the school based implications for successful inclusive education practices, including aligning the curriculum for all students with common core as well as instructional and behavioral supports for students based upon their individual needs. The extent of collaborative teaming among the professionals and parents at the school site will also be examined and shared. In addition, how leadership is exercised and perceived at the school site and how it impacts the success of inclusive practices will also be discussed. This session will share the research gathered from building school capacity to implementing inclusive educational practices so that others can learn from their journey.
