2015 TASH Conference has ended
This year’s theme, “Celebrating 40 Years of Progressive Leadership,” acknowledges TASH’s 40 years of generating change within the disability community and anticipates a brighter, more inclusive future for people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Each year, the TASH Conference impacts the disability field by connecting attendees to innovative information and resources, facilitating connections between stakeholders within the disability movement, and helping attendees reignite their passion for an inclusive world.

"Transition" is not limited to what occurs in school programs serving 18-22 year olds! Transitions occur throughout our lives, with each one bringing the opportunity for growth. Whether you're a person with a disability, family member, professional, etc. be part of this lively conversation that focuses on practical skills and tools to better support the natural transitions we all experience...leading to "bigger", richer lives! We'll talk about skills, attitudes, and experiences to consider and nurture, use of person-driven planning to identify priorities and supports, and the possibilities to positively impact the availability of inclusive supports/services in your own community!. OBJECTIVES:1. Transition planning occurs throughout life: it can, and should, cover significant lifespace areas such as Educational Opportunities, Community Living, Friendships/Relationships; Recreation/Social Life, etc. 2. How to utilize some unique person-driven planning tools, and modify existing tools, to positively impact outcomes for a Good Life. 3. Thoughtful ways to promote community capacity to fully support people w/ disabilities and their families/circles of support throughout life's transitions.
